Summary

I think a victory lap is due after Tuesday turned out, in about a dozen different ways, to be exactly what we thought it would be.  JD Vance was just incredible articulating and debating for a conservative move forward for America and in the process just broke down Tim Walz.   Meanwhile, the world is on fire scrambling to get all it can in the last three months of the Biden administration.  I've got a term for what we are seeing.    Cole Ragans and Bobby Witt Jr were fabulous for the Royals in game one of the Wildcard series at Baltimore and it's more than just one win.  We'll hear from both of them.    Eli Drinkwitz used the bye week to self scout in prep for A&M, volleyball teams are cancelling matches in protest and a man puts his money where his mouth is for his dislike of Taylor Swift.

It's not very often in this business that you make predictions about a big day and several things going on about how you think

0:21.7

it's all going to play out, and you bet a thousand.

0:24.7

So you'll have to excuse me if I trot around the bases and wave to the stands after an

unbelievable Tuesday where everything I thought would happen happened exactly as I thought

it would happen.

What a day to be all of us. And thanks for listening

to KKHI. This is going to be a fun one. As J.D. Vance just mops the floor with Tim Walls and most

0:45.6

surprisingly, of all, it's not that J.D. Vance knows all the issues. It's not that he nailed it

0:50.6

and won the debate on substance. His demeanor was absolutely perfect.

0:56.1

He couldn't have been more kind. He couldn't have been more empathetic. And there was a moment where

1:03.0

he said to Tim Walls in the debate that nobody else is talking about that I thought was

1:07.7

unbelievable, where Walls mentioned his 17-year-old son at one point had seen

1:14.5

at I think he said a youth camp or something shooting or violence or something like that.

1:19.4

And after the two minutes was up and Walls came out, J.D. Vance says, I'm really sorry to know that.

1:23.6

I didn't know that about your 17-year-old. And Tim Wall said, thank you. And he said,

1:28.6

Christ be with you. And it was just an unbelievable moment. And I think it resonated with a lot

1:35.8

of people seeing at home. I don't think it resonated much with the media and the pundance and

1:39.1

the people that will have commentary on how the debate went. But it was one of those moments like,

1:42.8

wow, this really is a good man.

1:45.7

The other thing that you noticed over and over and over was Tim Walls nodding his head at J.D. Vance,
