| 1:03.0 | Remember this is the typical village, washerman in India who collects clothes and takes them to the river bed and |
| 1:13.6 | washes them, dries them out, scrubs them. |
| 1:17.6 | So he found this diamond and he knew immediately it was a strange kind of a stone, a rock. |
| 1:24.6 | But what good are rocks? The only small ones are meant for scrubbing clothes and the big ones are meant for drying the clothes. |
| 1:32.3 | And he started using that shiny rock to scrub clothes. |
| 1:39.3 | But one day he thought, this is a strange rock. |
| 1:43.3 | Let me ask my friend the vegetable seller. |
| 1:46.0 | He is wiser than me, he knows more. |
| 1:48.0 | And he goes and asks the vegetable seller. |
| 1:50.0 | The vegetable seller said, |
| 1:52.0 | oh, it seems to be a valuable rock. |
| 1:54.0 | I will give you a bag of potatoes for it or bringles for it. |
| 2:00.0 | Luckily, the washerman did not agree to that. |
| 2:03.6 | He went further and asked somebody wiser and wiser |
| 2:06.6 | until he went to the diamond merchant |
| 2:08.6 | who saw it and he said, this is amazing. |
| 2:11.6 | I have never seen a diamond so big in my life. |
| 2:15.6 | I'll give you 10 million rupees for it. |
| 2:18.3 | And the washerman, all his poverty was gone and he became rich and happy and so on. |
