1:10.0	Oh, when I had my braids Jackie Reed, I got more black women saying,
1:17.0	oh, you should go back to wearing your hair and that cute shorts, like literally pushing me to take my braids out.
1:22.0	And was black, I know, every white person
1:24.6	was like, I love your braids, I love your braids, I love your braids.
1:27.5	It was more black women, older black women
1:31.7	who felt that it was not appropriate for work and were worried that it would, you know, it would like I sort of stigmatize me as being like the angry black lady or whatever like I mean they're older black one
1:43.7	in particular gave me issues that is such a slave mentality I mean I hate to
1:49.3	label everybody who thought that that way but it feels like to me that that is such an old
1:54.7	fashion old way of thinking and a mindset that is shaped by the oppressor. Do you know what
2:01.1	I mean? It just makes no sense. I mean I think about Pam Oliver and not that she wanted to wear head reps or natural hair, but the way that she was wearing her hair and this was maybe a couple of years ago and I know you remember this people gave her such a hard time
2:15.8	about her hairstyle and they don't realize that when you're doing that
2:21.0	publicly particularly on social media that can influence that woman's job.
2:26.0	Yes, 100% oh no, people would have obsessed with her hair.
2:29.4	It was like almost kind of sick. I mean remember they did it to Blue Ivy.
2:33.2	They made fun of her because her hair wasn't long.
2:36.2	And her mom has a weave. It's like her mother has a weave.
