What's going on?

So I've had a friend for a very, very long time, and I found out just about a month ago that she's tried pot. And I she told us not to tell anybody and she said she wouldn't do it again

but she seemed like she like it wasn't a big deal and obviously if you do drugs to me it's like a really

big deal so then I told my mom and now my mom feels like she's obligated to tell, but she doesn't

want to break her promise to me because they have a very close relationship.
