Today we're talking about an article from Vanity Fair on Tesla's Solar Business,

as well as a Gigafactory Shanghai update

and a couple of other notes.

Tesla stock on the day today did finish up 1.70% to $215 even, that compared to the NASDAQ up

1.32%.

Really quick scheduling update to start out the week. This is my last week at work. So as I wrap things up there, things might be a little bit spotty with the podcast. I want to leave things and as good of a spot as I can. So for one more week, that takes my top priority.

All right, so the biggest news relating to Tesla, I think,

is from a Vanity Fair article on Tesla, Elon Musk, and the Solar City acquisition

and how Tesla's solar business has been fairing

since that point in time.

This is not a positive article, in fact,

I can't actually even read the headline on the podcast, otherwise it would get marked explicit.

The short version of the headline is, quote, how Elon Musk gambled Tesla to save Solar City, end quote.

The longer version is, quote, he's full of blank, end quote, how Elon Musk fooled investors

built taxpayers and gambled Tesla to save Solar City.

So the red flags are up, obviously this is an article that you want to tread carefully into, not only because of the headline, also because this is Vanity Fair they describe themselves on Twitter with quote, in-depth reporting, gripping narratives, and world-class photography,

plus heaping doses of Oscar blogging, royal watching,

and assorted guilty pleasures, end quote.

It's not really meant to knock on vanity fair.
