Vice President J.D. Vance is making a controversial trip to Greenland today.

He's joining the second lady Ushah Vance on what was meant to be a cultural visit to watch

a dog sledding competition. But the itinerary has changed, with the couple now expected to visit

a U.S. military base. And a White House official says the VP is expected to take aim at the island's Danish government.

Greenland's Prime Minister has described the trip as, quote, highly aggressive,

and it comes as President Donald Trump is still openly speaking about annexing the semi-autonomous territory.
