Good evening, everyone. I'm John King in for Anderson tonight, and we begin keeping them honest with the dinner meeting that wasn't.

Between members of the Trump administration reportedly to tamp down squabbling about the mess that they themselves have created over the Jeffrey Epstein, Jelaine Maxwell, sex abuse case.

Vice President Vance was expected to be the host of that dinner.

In attendance, reportedly, would have been the White House Chief of Staff, Susie Wiles,

the Attorney General, Pam Bondi, FBI Director Cash Patel,

and the Deputy Attorney General, Todd Blanch, the president's former criminal defenseist story,

who, of course, recently met with Maxwell.

Four sources familiar with the matter said this was happening. Then we learned that dinner might be in

flux. Finally, late today, the president was asked about it.

Is he posting some kind of gathering of top advisors this evening to talk about how to respond

to the ex-D situation to the Epstein situation.

I don't know. I could ask you that question. I don't know of it, but I think, here's the man,

right? I saw it reported today, and it's completely fake news. We're not meeting to talk about

the Epstein situation, and I think the reporter who reported it needs to get better forces.

Look, the whole thing is a hoax. It's put out by the Democrats because we've had the most

successful six months in the history of our country and that's just a way of trying to divert

attention to something that's total bullshit. Okay. That profanity in the White House is now the
