Hello and welcome everyone to a bizarre world episode of The Total Soccer Show, the US

Men Beat Mexico in a Gold Cup Final for the first time in 14 years. But then the US women

lost to Canada for the first time in 20 years. Now they'll play Australia in the bronze

medal game with me this morning to try to figure out what went wrong are two fine folks.

First is a woman who we learned last time will never give up the opportunity to take a penalty

Thanks for having me. That was a moment. When you think just walked the ball to Jesse Fleming,

I was like, all right, what a leader. But anyways, no, that wouldn't have been me. I would

have, like, it's mine. And then you would have, you would have finished as well as Fleming

did though. Yeah. I mean, this is a great, made up world, right? So yes, of course.

All right. And with us is a gentleman who stayed up to edit the Gold Cup review episode

so that I did not do. He's maybe earned himself some sleep today. It's Joe Lowry. Joe,

how are the energy levels? Oh, the energy levels are good. They would have been better if

this game had gone a different direction. But yeah, no, we're recharged. The batteries are

not at 100% but they're approaching the, I don't know, upper core tile of battery percentage

Taylor. Joe, I'm assuming the answer to this is no, but I'm going to ask it anyway with

the US men's game going into extra time, the late hour that we recorded, the little sleep

you got when this seemed to be heading for potentially extra time and penalties again,

is there any relief to you when Canada scored? At least we knew something was going to

happen in regulation. Oh, Taylor, this is another one of those games that I already seen

the result. So I didn't have to go through that mental guilt, potentially of maybe just

wanting anybody to score it, not really caring who it was. I already knew what was going
