I'm excited to talk with you about the USA's one-no-win over Jamaica, a match that reminds me, to paraphrase the old adage, I went to a fight last night, and a soccer game broke out. So I have like, in front of me, I have my notes. I have my initial thoughts.

And the quality of this match was largely pretty poor. Yep. I actually was impressed in the early stages at how the U.S. seemed to be moving the ball

So I don't think it was the worst one that I've seen. But this very much was a you're playing on the road in Concaf kind of game. Like that's exactly what it was. The U.S. start well, have some really good moments. And I thought, oh, wow, this could be a bit of a shalacking on the part of the United States.

Because Jamaica, to me in the early stages, and this is that things can be two things, thing I'm sure. And I'm guessing that's going to be borne out on the rewatch. The U.S. looked dominant in the first, okay, maybe not dominant. They look sharp enough in the first five minutes.

It's not perfect.

But the U.S. are moving the ball pretty well.

They have that 10-pass sequence that Polisic works a bit of magic on and finds peppy and peppy finishes for the only goal of the game. And I'm thinking, wow, Jamaica look three steps off the pace. And eventually, they were so slow to close things down in midfield, they were slow to actually disrupt the U.S. as they were trying to press. And then over time, the U.S. just kind of lost that edge in Jamaica maybe started to turn up a little bit. And the fact that Pachitino put out a lineup with like one sort of creative mind, okay, one and a half, we'll count McKenney as a half. Creativity inclined attackers, I think probably bore some fruit here. Dude, you've outlined it well. Like, I had

my notes at points, like, are they protesting? Is that why they're playing it? Like, is this a work

slowdown? Is that what's going on with Jamaica? Because there were so many moments when they

are just slow to step, slow to track. But even in one v ones, they're just outrun by the guy on the ball on this pitch.

It was a very confusing one and even more confusing when the U.S. weren't able to convert.

But I also agree, Joe, with your sort of hesitation to say the U.S. were fully dominant because they were.

But then there are just these moments of breakdown and potential calamity. And the penalty,
