Hello, everybody, and welcome to the Total Soccer Show.

My name is Taylor Rockwell with me today to discuss some U.S. men's national team is a man whose club situation is not up in the air.

So unlike many other names we're going to be discussing today, he will be involved with the Gold Cup.

It's Joe Lowry. Joe, glad you were able to get things sorted at club level so you could join up with me today. Oh, yes, I'm playing for the most prestigious club you could ever imagine. I won't be announcing it on the show. My agent has a whole thing planned. It's going to involve fancy cars and mansions and whatnot. You know, Taylor. You get the idea. But yes, that's all sorted so I can be here with you to talk soccer. I appreciate that. I hope you've practiced your juggling, your keepy-uppies for our European listeners, because that does tend to be a thing that for some reason makes or breaks entire careers. If you can juggling, your unveiling. I can. my juggling is a little rusty at the moment, but I will get that all sorted out

before my announcement because that is genuinely like really one of the worst things I could imagine

from a career perspective. This is all kind of ridiculous and it doesn't really matter.

But you go out there in front of, you know, thousands and thousands of Real Madrid fans in their

stadium, right? And you're being introduced and everybody's cheering and thousands of Real Madrid fans in their stadium, right?

And you're being introduced and everybody's cheering and then you start to juggle as a professional player. Yeah. And you just can't. It's probably the one time out of a million times that you drop the ball on your third juggle. But man, that's got to hurt your pride so much, Taylor, so much. It feels very much like a lose, lose, lose situation,

because either you go very basic and maybe you make a mistake here, there, and then that doesn't impress, or you're too flashy, but that opens up the possibility that you're going to miss control, and that will be a problem. And then I think if you're overly flashy, if you do way too much, then the question's like, is he too much of a flare player? So, Joe, I'm glad that you don't even have to worry about that. We're in an audio format so people don't have to concern themselves. For people who have found us during the Euros, they might be a little bit confused why it's only you and me today. No Graham or Ryan, because we do on the Total Soccer show, tend to spend a lot of time talking about the U.S. men's national team, the U.S. women's national team, the various youth national teams as well. So if people are unfamiliar, that is a big part of the show and will be a big part of the remainder of our summer because we've got the men's team participating in the Olympics. We've got the women's team, or excuse me, the men's team definitely not participating in the Olympics, but participating in the gold cup. the women's team qualifying for the Olympics and participating there. We're going to talk about that as that tournament comes up. But right now, Joe, we're going to do some gold cup conversation because we have a roster. It was released last week. We did not talk about it. Philippe and Paul did over on Allocation Disorder. I've listened to that. I've listened to a few other things. I've read some stuff.

I'm guessing you have as well.

I'm excited, man. I'm excited. I know this is a little bit of a weird tournament for the U.S. And it's just on the back end of the Euros and the Copa America. and then the Olympics are probably going to overshadow this because the U.S. women's national team is just better and more fun than the U.S. men's national team.

That's just true right more fun than the U.S.

men's national team.

That's just true right now, especially this group. But still, I'm so excited to have games and to be able to dive into what's happening on the field, talk about players, learn more about some of these players that we maybe haven't seen a ton of or at all with the U.S. men's national team. I'm just, I'm ready. Let's do it.
