Hey there from CNN. I'm Krista Bow with the five things you Need to Know for Tuesday, August 19th.

So one of the main takeaways from yesterday's historic summit at the White House was the potential for a future meeting between the Russian and Ukrainian presidents.

I sort of started up with Putin and Zelenskyy.

And, you know, they're the ones that have to call the shots.

We're 7,000 miles away. I called President Putin and we're trying to work out a meeting with President Zelensky. We'll see what happens there. And then if that works out, if it works out, then I'll go to the trilat and close it up. That was President Donald Trump on Fox News this morning. But the Kremlin reiterated its refusal to commit to a meeting between the two presidents,

but didn't go as far as completely ruling out further talks.

Another key topic from the White House summit among President Vladimir Zelensky and European

leaders yesterday was security guarantees for Ukraine.

Yesterday, Trump also floated the idea of sending U.S. troops to Ukraine to help maintain

a potential peace deal.

But today, he rolled that out.

And then there's the issue of territory.

That wasn't a topic of yesterday's summit.

And Putin's specific demands haven't been made public.
