We have been covering on and off this US election for the last 20 to 30 years, which is what

it feels like. It's actually just been about two years, but it is coming right down to the

wire. We are at the business end. And we have thought for a while that there is a discussion

for us ourselves to have.

We could call it the great Jewish debate, which is how do Jews cast their votes in this?

What's good for the Jews?

Exactly.

To put it bluntly.

To put it very bluntly.

We're not meant to say that anymore.

You know, yes, but is it good for the Jews?

But look, a lot of Jewish voters will be thinking

that in the United States. They'll be thinking what is best for American jury and what is best

for Israel. That's a perennial lots of elections, especially in 2024, when Israel, the war in Gaza,

now Lebanon as well, has featured so centrally in American politics, global politics.

It's been a big part of this election campaign. So we've long wanted to do this,

bringing together to people who are not, you know, elected officials, they're not spokespeople

for Democrats and Republicans, but they are people who inhabit those universes who have worked in those

worlds and who come to these questions of foreign policy and American Jewish life,

informed by those perspectives. They are both crucially for this discussion about Israel. They're
