Okay, so I'm in a town called Newbury Port in Massachusetts, right on the mouth of the

Mary-Mech River. I'm on route to Innsmouth, having flown into Boston last night. My

armoured trip is via the bus that heads out to Rockport, but there's only one bus a day that

diverts off the highway and makes a stop in Innsmouth, and that bus doesn't leave until tomorrow morning,

so I'm stuck here at Newbury Port for the night. Matthew is away traveling, and I haven't been

able to get a hold of him since I landed in Boston. And a weird thing has happened that I think

needs to be addressed by someone. An extra episode appeared on the end of season two. I don't know

how it got there. When I first listened to it, I figured it was just some kind of audio glitch that

had somehow gotten uploaded by mistake, but the more you listen, the more it sounds like there's

something there. So I asked Charlotte Davenport, the audio expert from the library at Cambridge

University, to take a listen to it. She was intrigued enough to run the file through a bunch of

audio filters and whatever other gizmo she has at her disposal, and she said that this is some kind of

weird auditory illusion. There is something there, but it's not possible to hear it until you know

what it is. In other words, it's like a code that your brain can't decrypt without the key.

Charlotte thinks that what's lurking in that audio file is a quote from Michelangelo. Now,

who put it there or what the relevance of the quote is, we have no idea. But the quote runs like this.

So that is really weird, right? I don't know what it means or why it's been attached to our podcast,

but I'm sure we'll get into it when Matt's back in touch. In the meantime, I'm off to Innsmouth

in the morning to dig into the Fisher Family History and find out there's someone at the door.
