We've got a big old SummerSlam recap video to kick off this week's episode of RAW and given that it was RAW, we basically focused on raw guys, kind of not really, when we saw the wrestlers had arrived for the show. I mean, I was a bit worried, you can't do anything without them. Also, all my friends, and welcome to ups and downs, the only wrestling review show you need because I watch wrestling so you don't have to. I'm going to give you a little bit of a spoiler today. This role was like, okay, there are certainly notable things to talk about, but it was a bit weird given that it was the follow-up to SummerSlam. That's what we're going to talk about, and this guy is going to do all the speaking as well, the finger of power as we give the goobberton up and the bad bits are down.

0:38.5

So of course, Seth Rollins and his goobers came out to kick things off and Paul Hamer was here.

0:42.3

He was like, oh my gosh, Sheth Rollins, you are so great.

0:45.0

I love you so much, but I tell you who I don't like, C.M. Punk and Roman Reigns,

0:49.5

they're basically irrelevant now.

0:51.5

Man, imagine you were in the back and you were seeing Punk and Roman Rains, you'd be like, great, had a terrible weekend thanks to SummerSlam and now this. Although Roman didn't, he won. Rollins then got on the microphone and he was mad at Brooklyn and he was mad at New York City saying, oh, you should have believed me and you need to stop down to me because look, I am now the world champion because I always make good on my promises.

1:11.2

He also turned to the locker room and said, shame on you for never backing me up too,

1:16.2

when he started talking about the fact he had a plan B, which of course was a ha-ha-he-he-hi-hi

1:21.0

tieback to when he screwed over the shield. And that one is not really the same. I don't

1:26.3

remember him going, I'm injured and pretending.

1:29.4

Then he just hit Roman Raines in the back with a chair. I might have got this wrong, so do forgive me, but I'm pretty sure he said the only people that did know I was doing this was the wise man or the oracle, whatever the flood we call Paul these days. And my wife, of course, Becky Lynch, we saw some videos of them together, which means he didn't tell Brunton Reed and he didn't tell Broncor.

1:29.7

So I'm going to get... wife, of course, Becky Lynch, we saw some videos of them together, which means he didn't tell

1:44.7

Bronson Reed and he didn't tell Bronzer. So I'm going to guess eventually Bronn Bracker turns around and goes, excuse me, rough, rough, I didn't like that. L.A. Knight then appeared as Mr. Exposition because he was like, listen, man, I know the real reason you faked an injury. You didn't need to do that to win the title because you already had the money in the bank briefcase,

1:43.4

which actually is a very good point.

1:45.2

You affect an injury. You didn't need to do that to win the title because you already had the money in the bank briefcase, which actually is a very good point. You faked that injury because you were facing me at Satellite's main event and you were terrified and knew you couldn't get me for the one, two, three. Therefore, he won the title shot as soon as possible when Adam Pierce walked out, I was like, I don't really have a plan for this evening. So you know what? as you two have yelled at each other. That is going to be our main event.

2:34.2

In the internet, I was like, I don't really have a plan for this evening, so you know what? As you two have yelled at each other, that is going to be our main event. Instantly, I said it will end in disqualification, which is not a good thing. W.W.E desperately needs to backtrack on all of that, but we'll get to that when we get to that. I will give it up like it was a fine follow-up promo given everything Seth Rollins had done.

2:33.0

It was a great angle. It was a great moment. And WWB loves those. So yeah. Also, I do like the fact that LA Knight came out and said something. Imagine he didn't. We didn't see him for the entire weekend. So we needed a full stop and we kind of get it later. Also, we kind of don't. But listen, for what we did go out there and do, give it enough.

2:51.2

The judgment day then ran into the LWO in the back, and Dragon Lee was so mad, his dominant hysteria called himself the king of the luchadors. Now, I was Dom, I would have been like, excuse me, Dragon Lee, you call yourself a dragon, so maybe you shouldn't come into my house and throw stones. It's set up a match for later though, because you cannot insult somebody in that backstage area, but AJ Stiles walked in and was like, you were a bit of a naughty boy at SummerSlam, so I'm still coming for your intercontinental title. When we got to round three between Seamus and Roussev, and this is a copy and paste job from the last two times they did fight. I really enjoy them. They had two of my favourites in WWE, but the greater world doesn't seem to care and the way this finished. Well, I just thought it was a little bit ludicrous. We were getting all the moves because they are big men slapping man meat, but there was lariots and we're using barricade and we're using the ringpost and we're using out on the announce table and even though every now and then they would get in the ring somebody would slap the other guy so hard they'd fall to the outside of the ring so they'd just continue to fight in this moment that's all they can think about even if they had a water bill to pay they're like i'll do it later i gotta punch this guy we also got this really cool avalanche white noise, and again, they are large gentlemen. But eventually, when they were fighting outside of the ring, they totally forgot the rules of a match. And the referee was like, listen, dudes, I don't want to be that guy. But I've just counted to 10, which means this has to end in a countout. So I just do not understand this feud. We don't give them enough promo time. We don't really give them the room so they can actually explain where the hate does come from. Like I know we've done it a few weeks ago, but you kind of have to update things here. That's how wrestling works when eventually the useless wrestling security did come out to try and calm them down. And I'll let you know this.

4:31.2

They did a terrible job because throughout the evening, when people were also chilling out backstage, they'd look in the corner like parents and be like, can you believe it? Shame as a ruse of it's still fighting. So really just put me an interesting position because they are really fun to watch together. Like they just pummel one another. So I guess I will give

4:47.6

that an up, but you have to give it down for a double countout. Like, it's just lame, especially in the third match, which means we're now going to do a fourth match, probably in Paris, and absolutely it's going to have a stipulation. I don't know. It just felt like a get-out-out-jel free card we don't know which guy to beat so we will beat nobody they're still awesome

4:48.4

want to make that very clear i really do It just felt like a get-out-jail-free card. We don't know which guy to beat, so we will beat nobody.

5:05.6

They're still awesome.
