All right, so she told her mother-in-law,

they were taking this year off for Thanksgiving

at her house because it was too dramatic.

How did I mess this up? No we have some other Thanksgiving drama she wants to elope but she knows if she does around Thanksgiving the family is going to be mad

So did she tell them her decision? So recall Abby what we talked about on Friday? Oh yeah, so she is really hoping to just keep to not do like a big wedding they're really just hoping to keep it simple just them fly off and get you know

Hage by themselves but she knows that it's probably not going to go over well with the family, so they were in the

middle of a decision, like, okay, do we skip Thanksgiving and just hello, or do we go and tell the whole

family that we're engaged in, and kind of expect that they're going to want to plan this big wedding

and pressure us into doing it. So we're going to find out what happened.

All right, we spent all weekend talking, thinking, researching, etc.

Eloping felt right at first, but the more we thought about the additional drama and the emotions

of knowing our parents are upset, seem to take our enthusiasm away.

I'm not exactly jumping for joy at the thought of changing plans, but I also couldn't shake

off the feeling that eloping wasn't quite right either. We've landed on a compromise, a small

wedding. It's like trying to get the best of both worlds. A part of me is still adjusting

to the idea, but I'm warming up to it. We're thinking low-key intimate with just

our closest friends and family. This way we avoid the drama of a big wedding but

still keep our loved ones in the loop.

We also want to do it ASAP, like tell the family on Thanksgiving, but let them know the

wedding will be in January.
