Well, I talked to the Attorney General extensively, especially in the last several days, and I supported the decisions that were made.

She felt strongly, and I felt strongly that the law had to be upheld and that the Elion had to be reunited with his father.

And every conceivable alternative was tried.

missed this week. I'm not really sure how I'm counting them this week. I did want to tell you about

my column, which is a blockbuster, and the two big arguments against

what the Trump administration is doing on immigration is the media's ability to produce a crying

child, particularly, oh my gosh, little Leon the crying child in the bunny hat. And all these

pictures of Leon all over Liam reminded me of another picture of a terrified little

five-year-old boy, Ileon Gonzalez.

And I kind of remembered that the left, the New York Times, the Washington Post, of course,

the Clinton administration in Janet Reno, they were hell-bent on deporting

that little five-year-old. Elion, incidentally, unlike Liam, was not an illegal immigrant,

had not, had full rights under U.S. law to stay here. It's under the wet foot, dry foot law that used to exist for

Cubans. Obama got rid of it. If the Cuban landed on U.S. soil, dry land, without being intercepted

by law enforcement, he was a legitimate asylum applicant, was allowed to stay, apply for asylum. Most of them obviously

would get it, fleeing from a communist dictatorship. But the Clinton administration was dead set

on sending this kid back. Oh my gosh, they were just cheering for it. I note that the Trump

administration didn't go out looking for a five-year-old, the way the Clinton administration did.

No, they were arresting little Liam's father,

and the father insisted on keeping Leon with him.

Not so with I Leon.
