Summary

This is the first installment of our new and ongoing collaboration with Unity and Struggle. This Rev Left mini-series will trace and engage with the development of Unity and Struggle's deep study of race through the lens of Marxist historical and dialectical materialism.

0:09.6	So today is going to be the first installment of our ongoing sub-series with the organization
0:14.6	Unity and Struggle, where we basically have an episode every month or so where we cover
0:21.2	what they're doing in their race study.
0:23.4	They're doing this comprehensive historical materialist analysis of race and how it's
0:28.5	as co-instantiated with the development of capitalism.
0:32.0	And this will be the first installment of that and it'll just be an ongoing project between
0:35.6	Revolutionary Left Radio and Unity and Struggle.
0:38.1	I think it's incredibly important that they're doing this research and I just wanted to
0:41.2	use our platform to help get the word out and their ideas and their analysis out to more
0:46.4	and more people.
0:47.5	So definitely check out Unity and Struggle and with that said, let's dive into this first

0:58.0	My name is Eve and I am with the National Antistate Comedy and Struggle and I'm
1:10.6	doing here with Chino, also a community in Struggle.

1:30.7	Before we jump into the questions, you just want to say a little bit about Unity and
1:33.8	Struggle as an organization before we get into the topic of this discussion.
1:39.0	Sure, yeah, Unity and Struggle is a small national and to state communist collective.
1:44.6	We're interested in joining the Marxist Center Network and we do a lot of local organizing.
1:48.9	Most of our members are in the South and New York City.
