It's hard for me to believe it's been almost two years since I sat down with Irene Levy Baker to discuss her book 100 things to do in Philadelphia before you die.

That episode is still so popular among Twisted Philly listeners.

Irene graciously shared so many gems from the book including historical sites,

attractions, sports, and restaurants. Speaking of restaurants, Philly has a terrific food scene.

Sometimes I forget just how great the food scene is here because I have my favorite

restaurants. I like to visit time and again.

Like Barbuzzos, home of the infamous Salted Caramel Budino.

I love grabbing brunch at Sabrinos or green eggs.

I have my favorites outside the city too, like Savannah and

Upper Marion and the Dilworth Town Inn out in Westchester.

Serving what I believe is absolutely the best cream of mushroom soup anywhere in the Delaware Valley.

Irene Levy Baker knows the Philly food scene.

Her nearly 30-year career in public relations here in Philadelphia, focusing on restaurants and hospitality,

make her a bit of an expert in my opinion.

She knows about the neighborhoods that are filled with terrific places to eat, popular restaurants,

and out-of-the-way locations, about which you may be

unfamiliar, but once you find them, you will be craving more.
