ask not. We can ask for anything we want in the name of Jesus and especially healing. God's story,

For Joseph Deskins, surfing was everything until one violent wave brought it all crashing down.

This is a story about God restoring what's broken.

My name is Joseph Deskins. I live in San Diego, California. God healed me back in 1999.

I was surfing professionally at that time, and I took a trip to Mexico.

Famous spot called Boko de Pascualis. It's in Kalima, Mexico, about 1,300 miles from the San Diego

Tijuana border.

I flew down there.

One morning I was out surfing.

I was all by myself, waiting to catch a good wave.

The goal was to line up on the peak, take off slightly behind the peak.

That way you can take off straight into the barrel, get barreled, and hopefully come out at the end.

And so I was doing that. I caught a peak. I took off behind the peak.

Perfect position. I pulled in the barrel. I was in the barrel.

And I was going, hmm, this is a really nice barrel. And then I go,

this is a really nice barrel. And then I'm thinking, boy, this is the best barrel I've gotten all day.

And then the thought went through my head. I made it. And as soon as that thought went through

my head, boom, the lip came down and smashed down on the

surfboard and it shattered, shattering like a stick, like a baseball bat maybe shattering long ways

into five pieces.
