Hey, this is Meredith. Merry Christmas. As a little Christmas gift, we dropped this week's special

episode about Angel Stories into your podcast feed a few days earlier. If you happen to have missed it,

it came out on Wednesday, and it's really cool. It's a great bunch of stories. But I know that

some of you really look forward to hearing something new from us on Fridays. So I saved one very special angel story just for you

for today. Let's just call this an unfolding short, a short story about an angel encounter from my

friend Melody Yachtlitch. May you and yours have a very merry Christmas and a happy new year.

For now, enjoy this Angel's story. This was about eight years ago, if I recollect correctly.

I've been retired for six, so I think it was about two years before I retired. And my mother was

still alive then. I remember, and I remember I was

cautious and didn't want to tell her this story because I didn't want to scare her. Because, you know,

it's kind of scary sometimes when your daughter's out there seeing strangers in real estate situations. In fact,

I used to, if I was in a situation like showing a house in the country that I was uncomfortable

with, I would ask my 86-year-old mother to go with me and sit in the car with a cell phone.

She's your protector, huh?

She's like, what am I going to do?

I said, you're going to call 9-1-1.

But she would go along with me.

I love that.

Yeah, yeah.

But, yeah, I think it was about eight years ago. And it was a time in my life when I was

trying to reconnect with God, you know, trying to make a concerted effort to spend more time with him.
