Hello and welcome to best laid plans. This is the podcast where we talk about all things planning and planning adjacent. And this is your host, Sarah Hart Unger. This episode is going to sound a little bit different than usual because I'm actually recording it without a microphone.

0:23.0

I'm doing that because I'm recording it from a hospital room, which I know sounds a little bit crazy,

0:28.7

but I will explain during this episode. And everything is stable right now, so it is safe and okay for me to be recording.

0:36.6

All right. So I'm going to talk today about what's going on

0:40.5

and all that relates to planning and just share a little bit of personal stuff, but then also

0:46.3

kind of good myself, maybe a pep talk about the planning adjacent things I can do to get

1:10.0

helpful tools we can

1:11.0

use to make sure that we fill our lives with the things that we love and appreciate and feel

1:15.8

worthwhile. And you all know that one of the things I love to do and plan is to run. I've run for

1:23.6

many years off and on more seriously at sometimes, less seriously. Others, I have no

1:28.5

talent, but I have a lot of persistence. And I love training with friends. I love solo, relaxed runs

1:35.6

with a podcast in the morning. I love the challenge of watching myself improve. And I love how I feel

1:41.2

after going for a run. I always find it just really just therapeutic.

1:45.3

There's something about the cocktail of those endorphins that for me works, wonders,

1:49.1

and it's just a really helpful part of my day for me.

1:52.7

I've always been super into it.

1:55.0

I had to stop for several years before when I was trying to get pregnant and struggling.

2:03.0

And I have also had some injuries, including the kind of crazy one I had last year that I talked about on the podcast,
