However, if we're going to understand what's going on in the world today,

we need to go beyond the headlines to the facts and data.

It may seem daunting, but I've found it well worth my time.

Hello there, everyday Americans, Paul Engel here with the Constitution study,

where we read instead of the Constitution,

teacher rights and generation be free. Glad you could join me today. You know, I remember back when I was

young, they used to say, if it bleeds, it leads. It was this idea that, you know, sensational journalism.

The, you know, a story about, you know, a puppy coming home was not as got as much attention

as, say, maybe a murder or some especially gruesome vehicle accident. If it bleeds, it leads.

Now, I'd say nowadays, headlines are more about clicks.

Can we say something salational?

And now sometimes that more is really aligned with the headline.

Sometimes not so much.

And I want to take a look at some examples.

For example, I've been hearing a lot of news lately about the Supreme Court restoring full access to abortion drugs. Several outlets have

talked about it. Several pieces of news have talked about it. And let me tell you what really happened,

or as Paul Harvey say, the rest of the story.

It's a lawsuit involving Danco Laboratories who manufacture Mithopristone, the chemical abortion drug.

And there have been lawsuits from several states claiming that the mail order
