The arrests have almost all come after the fact and not during the riots compared to hundreds of arrests during the summer's Black Lives Matter protest in D.C.

The scene at the Capitol was really scary and difficult to watch for many people, and it was

especially devastating for many people of color. Only months ago, we witnessed protests across

the country against police violence against black people, protests that were for the

most part peaceful, but were met over and over again with more violence at the hands of the police.

While Wednesday, we saw a frenzied group of people almost entirely white, stormed the capital,

vandalized government property, and hold the Democratic process hostage, and be met with a very different response. It is very important
