Well, you know what? I'm not going to argue with you.

Okay, today we're going to be looking at Facebook and some other mega corporations with maybe

too much market power, which use that power in a way that goes from not good to really bad,

to kind of dangerous, all the way to really dangerous.

My guests are Roger McDonnelly, a venture capitalist who put Sheryl Sandberg and Mark Zuckerberg

together. But now he is one of the fiercest critics of Facebook for reasons.

He laid bare in his 2019 book, Zucked.

And also with me, Zephyr Teach Out, Zephyr Teaches. See, law at Fordham University.

And her latest book is Break Them Up. Break Them Up is in this case, your Amazon,

your Google, your Tyson chicken. And again, your Facebook.

During the 2016 election, we started seeing signs of how a platform like Facebook

could actually be a threat to our democracy and how they may indeed

have tipped a really close election to Donald Trump with the help of the Russians.

Well, then just this past January 6th, how these platforms can contribute to Americans,

who I guess believe themselves to be patriots, to them storming the US Capitol in an unthinkable

assault on just who we are as a country. And I have been concerned for years about how Facebook,

Google and Amazon use Americans personal information to solidify their market power and impose

unfair conditions on content creators and innovators that rely on their platforms to reach
