I feel like I already had that confidence coming into this race.

I hadn't had a breakthrough ride like that, but I've had those legs for a long time and in those races

like well the end result wasn't incredible I'd always felt like I had the legs to be up there on

the podium and so this is not a huge surprise for me like I always knew I had as good a chance

as anyone to win it it just needed everything to go right.

Hello and welcome to our Unbound Recap Part 1. There's been so much to cover following the past

weekend's historic Unbound that we decided we needed to divide our coverage up for the first time

into two parts. And also, even though I don't really consider this podcast a news outlet per se,

you know, we're never really rushing to get stuff out there, be first to anything. I did notice

a handful of post-unbound articles kind of trying to extrapolate or

fill in gaps about information that we already had. Cam was super gracious and hopping on with us as

his first long form interview after his big win. So I feel like we have a bit of an obligation to

get this conversation out there, ASAP.

Carol Migon, the women's winner, is busy road-tripping through the Yosemite right now.

And we do have her scheduled for a chat this Saturday, but we're going to bring that to you as a part two.

She was really funny as we were lining that up and, yeah, just basically said,

I really didn't plan on winning. Now I'm road tripping with barely any connectivity.

Gotta love it. So yeah, part two of our Unbound coverage will go live Sunday, which will have

that interview with Caro and we'll also have our normal voice memos section

from the age group riders and also a little section with some of my own thoughts regarding
