0:38.9	Today is Thursday, September 11th, and we are going to talk about some news, but first I need
0:44.7	to acknowledge a couple of things, mostly just how heavy this episode feels.
0:50.8	It's, of course, September 11th today, which marks the 24th anniversary of 9-11.
0:56.0	Charlie Kirk was murdered yesterday in what appears to be a politically motivated attack,
1:00.8	and yet another school shooting took place yesterday, exactly two weeks after a shooter killed
1:07.2	two young children and injured many more at the Annunciation Catholic school. So I just
1:13.9	want to take a few minutes to speak from the heart. It's not often that I do this because I really do
1:19.5	try to stick to the news and I avoid injecting any sort of personal thoughts. But I think this week
1:26.5	warrants at least a message. What I really want to see
1:31.3	is all of us come together and show each other that humanity still exists. We know it exists,
1:37.2	it does, but after this week, and quite honestly, what feels like for a long time, we've lost sight that good people do still exist
1:47.4	because the bad weighs more, right? When bad happens, especially so much in so little time,
1:54.6	it feels like that's all that exists. But you and I were good people, and there are a lot of
1:59.9	good people out there.
2:01.8	And the good news is that we have the power to make a difference in this world.
2:07.4	So I want to challenge you to do something good this week,
2:10.8	whether it's calling up a friend that you haven't talked to in a while and checking on them,
2:16.3	whether it's opening a door for someone
