Oh well we're all feeling in a very Christmassy mood today. Not a usual kind of show we're

not doing a dialogue debate type format on unbelievable today. We've got more of a

smorgasbord of different items. I look back at the year. Some interesting interviews with

various people and their faith journeys. We'll tell you all about it in a moment's time.

christmas look like for you Ruth what's your favourite thing about christmas?

Oh there's so many favourite things it's really hard to whittle it down to one thing.

I think because I grew up as a vicar's kid so christmas was always quite busy in our house

but it was also an amazing opportunity for us to spend quality time with friends and family

and we sort of had a tradition in our house of inviting everyone into our house that didn't

have anywhere to go at christmas whether that was someone in the congregation someone that

my dad just met on the street. So it was always really really loud and quite fun in our house

and my little sister's birthday is the day before yours actually just because you're a christmasy

baby she's a christmasy baby and so it was always packed but really fun and unfortunately we've

not been able to do that this year we've not been able to invite random people into our house

but hopefully next year the tradition will continue of reaching out into the community and welcoming
