2019 edition of Tesla Daily Unofficial Tesla Podcast. My name is Rob Maower. Today we're talking

about some awards for Tesla, a piece of news from a Tesla supplier, and then a couple things

on Tesla stock. Tesla on the day today was down 0.13% to $238.60 that compared to the Nasdac down 0.08%.

All right, so it's been a decorated couple of days for Tesla picking up two major awards, one for Model S and one for

Model 3. For the Model S we actually have to look back to 2013 a very

significant moment in Tesla's history when the Model S won Motor Trend's Car of the Year.

Motor Trend has now been awarding Car of the Year annually for 70 years, so they decided to have a look

back on those 70 years and choose the ultimate car of the year the best of the bunch of those 70

winning vehicles. So out of those 70 cars the ultimate car of the year is the 2013 model S.

Motor Trend wrote, quote,

the selection and judging criteria have changed,

the trophies have changed,

and the vehicles most certainly have changed,

but the spirit behind the car of the year is the same today as it was in 1949.

Identify the most superlative new vehicle introduced each year.

We are confident that were we to summon all the judges and staff of the past 70 years we would come to a rapid consensus

No vehicle we've awarded be a car of the year

Import car of the year SUV of the year or truck of the Year, S-UV of the Year, or Truck of the Year can equal the impact, performance, and

engineering excellence that is our ultimate Car of the Year winner, the 2013 Tesla Model
