The NATO meeting in Vilnius and now threats from the Russians, promises from the Ukrainians,

and Zapperecia Nuclear Power Plant.

We have these headlines from Keith.

This is Ukraine news speaking routinely about Zapperecia.

Right now, Ukraine is saying that the Russians have a plan to move unit number four from

cold hot shutdown.

We're also told from Keith that there are 500 Russian personnel at the plants.

This is the largest nuclear power plant in Europe.

So to help me understand what this means, if it is indeed a change of weather, Henry,

what does it mean to move from cold hot shutdown?

Does 500 personnel sound enough for these six reactors?

No, 500 doesn't begin to be the number you need to run those plants to give you some

idea.

The number for the six plants that's appropriate is at least somewhere in the zone of 3,500.

So those 500 may include people who know something about nuclear operations, but not anywhere

near enough to be the number that would be safe even for two hot shutdowns.

It's to say nothing of four others that are in cold shutdown.
