I welcome Brad Bowman of the foundation for the defensive democracies to comment on

items that describe the many stories in Ukraine conflict, not all on the battlefield.

The headlines from London right now are equally chaotic. Ukraine, Poland threatens to shut

Belarusian border in Vognorow, or Zelensky pays tribute after ace pilot Ghost of Kiev

is killed in an air accident, or in Russia's city of zombies drone strikes have lost their

power to shock. However, we go to the big story of the alliance between Beijing and Moscow,

evidenced in joint sea exercise in East Asia that is meant to intimidate, I believe, both

Japan and South Korea and perhaps Taiwan as well. Brad, a very good evening to you. Russia

is draining the resources of several countries in order to continue its fight. I'm thinking

of Iran and North Korea. Right now, there is no official confirmed transfer of lethal aid

from China to Russia to continue the war fighting. However, this naval exercise is highly suggestive,

opportunity. You know, I've been from my humble foxhole been trying to sound the alarm for several

years now about the growing military cooperation and partnership between China and Russia.

You know, going back several years now, we've seen significant land-based exercises in China

with Russian Chinese forces. We saw we saw we've seen naval exercises and we saw this most recent

combined patrol that apparently traveled more than 7,000 nautical miles through the sea of Japan

up and around the barren sea and back. I'm clearly trying to intimidate America's Treaty

ally Japan. You know, there's a longstanding dispute over some territories between Japan and Russia.

But what this all means for us is that these authoritarian adversaries are growing closer. They're

conducting strategic coordination and they're conducting military exercises and that has real
