I'm John Batchett with Colonel Chef McCauzzon, CBS News.

We leave the Ukraine front and head to the Gaza front, which is a subset of the larger threat

to the state of Israel.

Hezbollah to the north, Syria to the northeast, Iran within missile range.

The West Bank always dangerous, given the gangs that have networked with bad actors

outside the region.

And then the challenge of Gaza, not only because it's a military challenge, but there are

a million, two million people.

And so far, Egypt has refused to open the Rafaq Gate, which would allow the people in

the south part of Gaza to exit into the Sinai.

That's not exactly downtown Cairo.

But Cairo, President Ceci, is adamant that he does not want Palestinians in his governance.

What's important here is that once about a time Gaza was Egyptian since 67, it's been

floating in between this or that.

Right now it is a problem set for the IDF.

And we begin by mentioning the problem set includes what has been racing around the world

the last 24, 48 hours is the reported strike on a hospital, a hospital maintained by a

religious group.

I believe it's the Episcopalian Church, but I'd have to check that.

In Gaza, there was said to be a hit by a fill in the blank.

And it said to have 500 casualties, maybe less than that fill in the blank.
