Russia suffers biggest drone attacks since invasion. Moscow has accused Ukraine, goes the

copy, Maxim Tucker for the London Times.

A Moscow has accused Ukraine of staging its largest attack yet on Russian soil after

a wave of drone struck scoff. Airports setting two military transport planes light and

damaging two more. Thick black smoke billed over scoff, which is more than 400 miles north

of the nearest Ukrainian port border, suggesting that other targets may have been hit, such

as an oil depot, in Kiev two security guards were killed overnight as cruise missiles

and drones targeted the capital.

I welcome Colonel Jeff McCawson, the United States Army retired artilleryman. He is visiting

Professor Dickinson College, CEO of Diamond Six Leadership and Strategy and CBS News.

Jeff, the drone attack has been routine. We've talked about drones in the war, both sides

where they get from from Iran, Turkey. However, this looks different, striking 400 miles

outside of Ukraine and striking what appears to be an undefended Russian city. This is

none of the Moscow air defenses. Am I over reading this or has something as a decision

been made in Kiev?

Definitely, John. I think a decision is made in Kiev, not only for the ranges that we're

seeing targets and get deep into Russia, but also the number of attacks. It's without

a doubt the largest one day attack by Ukraine using drones on Russia, spanning half a dozen

regions inside Russia to include as you mentioned, Peskov, which is only that target only

about 30 miles from the border of Estonia, of course, a NATO member. And on the reverse

of that, of course, Kiev suffered what some have been describing as the most powerful
