Is this a demonstration of NATO being brittle, being not ready for prime time?

One is we show how well, frankly, that the Russians have been able through their

espionage to penetrate into the very internal discussions of a

significant NATO partner, in this case,

the Germans and well made to speak

their ability to do that more broadly across the alliance.
