Ukraine says the country's security service has struck the bridge connecting Russia to annexed Crimea with underwater explosives. Days after it conducted a drone attack on Russia's air bases.

The head of Ukraine's SBU says the attack on multiple Russian bases caused an estimated $7 billion in damage and has struck

34% of Russia's strategic cruise missile carriers, which have been used to pummel Ukrainian

cities throughout the war. Russian officials did not immediately respond to Ukraine's

bridge attack claims, and CNN is unable to independently verify the value of the damage done to the

air bases. Meanwhile, Ukrainian drone attacks on energy sites in Russian-occupied Hurson and

Zafarisia have left about 700,000 people without power, according to Moscow-backed officials

in the regions. CNN's Nick Robertson has more on Ukraine's strategy with these attacks and Russia's response

on the battlefield.

This does seem to be the Ukrainians trying to take the fight to the Russians in a way

that undermines Russia's warfighting abilities.
