Western nations that pledged to help defend Ukraine against Russia, dubbed the Coalition of the

Willing, met virtually today.

The U.S. is not part of the coalition.

The virtual meeting follows yesterday's talks in Washington between European leaders, Ukrainian

President Volodymyra Zelensky, and President Donald Trump on a possible deal to end the war.

Security guarantees for Ukraine have become a key focus in talks for peace, and the coalition

is still working out what it can realistically offer.

There will likely be a plan to put forces on the ground

and support Ukraine from the sea and air,

as well as help rebuilding the Ukrainian military,

now exhausted by more than three years of war.

But rules of engagement in the event of ceasefire violations

would have to be agreed on by all governments
