forward what is characterized as a peace plan. China's position on the political settlement

of the Ukraine crisis. There's much attention to a ceasefire, to sanctions relief, to

peace talks.

Number seven on the list, however, is most pertinent to my colleague Henry Sikulski,

the executive director of the Non-Proliferation Policy Education Center, because it speaks

to nuclear energy and the vulnerability that we witness on the battlefield in Ukraine.

Number seven, keeping nuclear power plants safe. China opposes armed attacks against

nuclear power plants or other peaceful nuclear facilities and calls on all parties to comply

with international law, including the Convention on Nuclear Safety.
