General Mark Milley chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff is British counterpart Admiral Sir Tony

and General Christopher Cavalley, the top US commander in Europe, urged Ukraine's

most senior military commander, General Zaluzny to focus on one main front and according to

official's briefed on the call, the general agreed. Transite this Jeff, what are they talking about?

What's talking about here, John, is we've got three primary avenues of advanced Ukrainian

scene to be focused on. One is in the center of Donbass, one is in the north of that towards

Bakmut, one is straight south toward Melitipoul and the sea of Azzo. So the question is where do

you concentrate forces? Clearly, as I said a moment ago, they're trying to stretch a star of a

then strike, the Russian forces. They seem to be making the most progress on the effort going

straight south. There have been reports that they have now crossed through at least the first

defense of the Russian defenses. And my colleagues in Kiev, I spoke with this morning, said they were

optimistic that we'd see big things happen soon. Now, how soon they were unclear about,

but they seem fairly optimistic that we're going to see more significant advances

by Ukrainian forces in the coming days. But at the same time, the Ukrainians are still concerned,

and this was their message to me, about shortages, particularly in ammunition, particularly

artillery ammunition, which they're using a lot of, as where is air defense systems.

Because in you and I've talked before about this, John, this is one of the few counteroffensive

or offensives that I can recall in the last 125 years in which the defense, in this case,
