then strike, the Russian forces. They seem to be making the most progress on the effort going

straight south. There have been reports that they have now crossed through at least the first

defense of the Russian defenses. And my colleagues in Kiev, I spoke with this morning, said they were

optimistic that we'd see big things happen soon. Now, how soon they were unclear about,

but they seem fairly optimistic that we're going to see more significant advances

by Ukrainian forces in the coming days. But at the same time, the Ukrainians are still concerned,

and this was their message to me, about shortages, particularly in ammunition, particularly

artillery ammunition, which they're using a lot of, as where is air defense systems.

Because in you and I've talked before about this, John, this is one of the few counteroffensive
