I was set on being a mounted police officer from a young age, but I knew I'd have to move

to make it happen, and for me, the Met presented endless opportunities.

From joining as a PC at age 23, I went into a variety of roles, from emergency response

to public order policing. As a sergeant in the mounted branch, my dream job became reality.

You recall that the war was going badly for Russia, and then,

Pregosan, the leader of a private army, rises up one Saturday morning and challenges the authority

of the Kremlin, sending a brigade, we're told, hurling towards Moscow. Since then, the normally opaque

Kremlin has been completely a black hole. There is no news, there are just rumors.

The witticism that Russians enjoyed it to tell each other, remind each other at this point in

Russian history is, we know what's going to happen. We just don't know what's going to happen

between now and then. That is Russia today. No one is certain at all about the maneuvering

for Putin's successor, nor is anyone certain about Pregosan, who said to be in Belarus,

nor is anyone certain about the leader of the army, a Gerasmov, who may or may not be seen.

You can't tell the way the film works, a video works these days. You can't date anything.

Shoigu, the defense minister, appears to be firm, but the General Serovakin, who was charged with

winning in Ukraine, General Armageddon, is said to be detained. There is nothing but disorder.
