At the turn of the calendar year, coming to past the 10th month towards the one year of

the conflict, Russia's invasion of Ukraine, and what has to be done. I welcome John Bolton

former National Security Advisor, former ambassador to the United Nations, writing most recently

in London, for the London Telegraph about allies and adversaries in Ukraine conflict. We

begin with NATO because that question has been answered again and again with NATO meetings.

I'm looking at particularly the one at the end of June in 2022 when the NATO forces defined

Russia as an adversary and also China as an adversary. Looking at NATO now, these many

months later, I begin with Germany. John, a very good evening to you, Germany. In a remarkable

speech right after the first days of the invasion, I'll have shown the chance of Germany,

did a look to be a 180 at the time, including, of course, saying that Germany would meet

the 2% goal that all NATO countries are pledged to support in order to defend NATO. It is
