My colleague and friend Gregory Coppoli, editor and publisher of Defense and Foreign Affairs,

a report from Lord Michael Ashcroft, who is a journalist and a poster,

very well-respected former Tory Conservative MP, but now with his fourth trip to Ukraine,

writes up a report in great detail about what risks he took in order to give us these details,

and in reading the report of the offensive, the counteroffensive, which comes down to small

teams crawling to a rubble, going up against Russian small teams crawling to a rubble,

both sides watching each other with drones overhead, calling in suicide drones or artillery rounds,

in the rubble. Gregory, I grew increasingly discouraged that there can be any resolution in what

appears to be just massacre on both sides. The casualty rates are said to be high.

I don't know that they can have an accurate count, 70,000 dead for Ukraine.

That's what Lord Ashcroft tells us, 140,000 wounded. He doesn't give us a number on the Russian side,

but I come back to what we witnessed in through his eyes. There's no way, Gregory,

this could lead to a breakthrough or a cracking of the Russian lines. This is like Stalin
