This is the French Vistula Debating Society. I'm John Bachelors, a headline in the New York

Times in these last hours above the fold, fighting back in a very personal war, subhead,

fatigued troops prepare for a counteroffensive. I welcome Michael Vleyhoss. Michael is here

to help us understand the scale of the war in Ukraine, both going forward and going back

into history. Michael is also Germanicus, and I am Gaius, and we are in Londonium, and

is 91 AD, and we're using our powers to see 2,000 years into the future, and perceive what

we can of the Ukraine conflict. On the eve we're told again and again, on the eve of

the counteroffensive, the one mentioned in the New York Times headline. Michael, I paused

at the word fatigued. When I write copy, I'm very careful about how to use words where there

is the suggestion of irony. It's very dangerous business if you're going in one direction.

It tells the reader, one, you're up to something tricky, or two, you don't believe what you're

saying. Fatigued, how do you read this Germanicus? Good evening to you. Good evening, Gaius.

The moment is I would say, cremulus, in the sense that we are on the knife edge, the

water shed the precipice, as we're watching the deterioration and potential rapid unraveling

of Ukrainian war-making capability. It's incredibly difficult for agents, mouthpieces, of the American

and the NATO ruling class. Here I'm referring, of course, to the vast media that is in constant

proskinesis or cowtowing to the ruling regimes. It is extremely difficult for them for the

entirety of government and media to know what to do when the incredible facade that they've erected

over the last year and more, this palace of absolute illusion, this delusional fantasy that has

been fed to Western electorates, is about to come crashing down. In fact, many in the Western

United States are now aware more than they ever were even two or three months ago by the release

of information, the intelligence leaks, the slips on the part of Ukrainian ministers and NATO and EU
