Journal. We welcome John Hardy of the Foundation for the Defense of Democracy, watching Ukraine

conflict with Russia this last week to help us understand where the conflict is on the battlefield

and what that means for the negotiations wherever they are,

John and Bill, a very good evening to you.

John, I report to you from the Financial Times this morning, the Pink newspaper, London

reporting, that Russia is now accusing Ukraine of

war crimes, abduction of civilians in the Kursk salient, people disappeared, looting, other

outrages, very much a repetition of the accusations, allegations made by Ukraine early in the conflict

and the storming of the Ukrainian border and the charge on Keef that failed in those first

months of the war in 2022.

There is no reason to believe this is anything but information war, but the F.T. says that the Russian propaganda is flooding

the airwaves. They also added the fact that while Ukraine no longer dominates the curse salient the way

it did last year, it still holds on to about 50 square kilometers. What can you tell us about

the information war in Kursk, salient, and also about the combat or whatever is left of the

Ukrainian forces? Good day to you, John. Hey, John. Hey, Bill. Thanks for having me back on the show.

So Ukraine, I guess I'll text the latter part of your question first.

Ukraine still holds a pretty small sliver of territory in Kerskgo Blast.

The Russians have been kind of gnawing away at that sliver since Ukraine withdrew for most of the curse.
