The

Prime Minister has said, most recently, Qishida, and he's an English speaker as well as

to host the G7 meeting in May at Hiroshima. So all of the irony is in place. He also represents

the dove wing of the Liberal Democratic Party until the decision to increase Japanese defense

spending to 2% and to rearm. That's what it looks like. Your measure of Japan coming into

the contest with China. Does this create a nuclear arms race in Asia? Or is it possible

that they can contain the build-up to conventional weapons? No matter how violent they are, conventional

Good evening. I think there's even chance that the build-up can remain non-nuclear, but

it's only any even chance. We need to pay close attention to what we're doing, not just

with Japan, but with other countries. In particular, and certainly very close in, is South

Korea where the President there announced that he may have to get nuclear weapons to deal

with what he sees as the threat from North Korea, but sub-Solento China as well. There

are things in play. I think the Prime Minister of Japan has been very clear that what's
