This is the Friends of History Debating Society. It's a great pleasure to welcome Professor H.J. Mackinder, International Relations, to comment on six capital, six points of view. There's been more movement this week in Ukraine than in

Gaza War, but we will begin with Jerusalem because part of the discussion this week is the arsenal of democracy

and money for the simultaneous wars in Eurasia and the third war threatened in East Asia.

Professor, a very good evening to you.

We begin in Jerusalem because there is no movement there in terms of the intention,

the ambition, the war aim of Jerusalem, which is to destroy the Hamas leadership.

They've now moved the battle center from North Gaza to Khan Yunus and make progress. At the meantime, there's much discussion in

Washington about funding or extending support for Israel. Jerusalem's point of view is much more interesting. Now looking forward, the

war aim is to destroy Hamas. Is there at this point your measure another ambition that Israel is demonstrating good evening to you oh good

evening I would say that we start with Jerusalem because of foreign capitals.

Jerusalem is one of the handful that have really a very great degree of leverage in Washington and what we're seeing now is a

developing disagreement between the Israeli government and the American government.

What's going on is increasingly there is dissatisfaction in Washington with the fact that Mr.
