From an explosion during a fire at a military training ground in Crimea in these last hours,

smoke and fire. Good heavens. We're talking about the whole horizon being ripped by serial

explosions. This is Ukraine and a mystery to solve. And I welcome Colonel Jeff McCawson,

United States Army retired, artillery men, CBS news visiting professor Dickinson College and

CEO of Diamond Six leadership and strategy. Jeff, I've watched the video so a view of this

supposed fire and smoke rising from what was once about a time in ammo dump.

At this point, no one is taking responsibility, but it sure looks like somebody got lucky.

Are we going to say that romantic stuff where somebody was smoking a cigarette or we're going

to say this was a strike? Good evening to you, Jeff. Good evening to you, John. I think you're

going to say that depending on who you are. I'm sure the Russians are going to try to minimize

the significance of this particular devastation. Well, on the other hand, the Ukrainians are going

to extort it. Russians will probably claim it was some safety violation. That's what they've said

in past. Ukrainians may never take full credit, but in past, they've used longer-range fires,

high-mars, gimmers, rockets to strike this. Could have used the British storm shadow missile system

to strike a place like this, or it could even be a combination of Ukrainian special operations forces

and partisans, and they have been operating in Crimea. But it does seem very clear that Ukraine
