I believe, on the European headlines.

because in English it presents a understanding

of where Europe is on the major themes.

Donald Trump is one.

The Ukraine war is another.

Germany's poor performance the last two years is another.

We begin with two of those themes, the headline in the Financial Times.

Trump tells Putin to reach Ukraine deal, that's in quotes. Soon, the U.S. will increase

sanctions. U.S. President says Washington could impose more trade restrictions on Moscow.

And at all a very good evening to you, Mr. Trump is now treating Mr. Putin similarly to how he

remarked,

Amos better make a deal about the hostages or, and then the threat followed.

Is this going to move the story?

Because Putin has been expressing now and again that he's open to talking to Mr. Trump,
