This is the Friends of Mr. Debating Society. I'm John Bachelor. Much movement by leaders

of powers next week. Mr. Biden is traveling to Poland. Mr. Xi Jinping is said to be making

a speech on the 24th about peace. This information from Rome was on Italian media all day 24

hours ago. Professor, what do we expect from Xi Jinping? Is alliance or friendship or camaraderie

with Putin? Is not going well a year later? Well, I think Mr. Xi is not a consistent or

disciplined thinker. He knows he has very little formal education. He has difficulty reading

difficult Chinese prose. He also has knows very, very little of the world, but he does know

a lot about how to get power. He's managed to concentrate power in his own hands in China.

In a way that's really unprecedented, even Mao, who was certainly the most powerful leader

or ruler in China, Mao always had representatives of the other power groups within this communist

party. He always had to Joe and Lai and so forth around with him. After the 20th party,

Congress a few months ago, Mr. Xi has swept away all opposition. He's got a group of people

who are simply echo chambers for him and also they're all shorter of stature than he is.

That's the sign of a leader who is perhaps lacking a kind of basic confidence. So I don't

think that he has a well thought out view. We see this with the balloon. He presumably knew

that it was going to happen, but the statement, the poor press, the man long been, what's his

full name? I can't remember his full name. He was the reporter that was having a lot of

fun with him. All I could do is keep repeating this statement about it, it's a civilian piece

that will blow off all the rest. The word was that those words had been approved by Mr.

Xi and of course it's foolish for the Chinese to say this. But Xi is very attracted to the

idea of an ontant with Moscow. He sees this, I remember that China has no allies, even

Pakistan, which is their kind of their iron brother. Pakistan, to which they delivered, I have
