Avdifka is under siege by the Russian forces in Ukraine,

being defended by the Ukrainian forces fiercely.

Why does this matter?

Because the Ukrainians now acknowledge this as a critical note

and that it's reached a crisis stage. To help me understand this, my colleague and friend

Colonel Jeff McCausen, the United States Army retired, an artillery man, and a deal of artillery

is part of this siege. He's CBS News, he's

visiting Professor Dickinson College. He's the CEO of Diamond Six leadership and

strategy. Jeff, for some week you've been mentioning ofifka and I've puzzled about that because I read the Institute of the study of war every night and it has a lot of detail about it, but I can't see on the map, it's just a map, why Avdifka is the focus of the Russian offensive.

I thought to myself, well maybe it's just convenient, maybe their artillery can reach

it.

But now the Ukrainians are saying critical. Help me understand this battle map that we have from
