Donald Trump met with Vladimir Putin on August 15th, and a mere three days later, he met with the

Ukrainian leader Vladimir Zelensky in the White House, but not just with the Ukrainian leader.

He also met with a coterie of leaders from the major NATO countries.

He promised them that his personal intervention would lead to a quick end to the war, but it seems that Trump has badly misjudged the situation.

Today, we'll talk about why the war in Ukraine is not ending, at least not anytime soon.

Right, Leanne. He had been telling everybody during the election campaign, if he was president in 2022,

there would have never been a Ukraine war. And once he became president again for a second term,

that he could end the war in a single day, right? He's repeated that like many, many times.

Well, he met with Putin, as you said, on August 15th. He then met

with Zelensky and all of Zelenskyy sponsors, the NATO countries. And frankly,
