Fiona Ross is one of those people that I keep coming back to. Fiona is very inspirational and very much a role model of what is truly the meaning of success as a creative artist. I spoke with her from her London home the night after her 5th new album launch gig. I could see from all the build-up to the event, and the buzz all over social media that this new (5th) album titled: ”Red Flags and High Heels” was a resounding success even after just 24 hours! Fiona explained her motivation for this 5th album concept, and how it was clearly a progressive linear timeline as is weaved throughout all her albums to date. We also talked about her founding ”Women In Jazz Media” It‘s simply birth to continued exponential growth, now with 16 team members and a UK parliamentary award for Jazz Media Excellence, and the promoting of equal rights for women in the UK jazz industry. 0:52.0	Okay. And so yeah, that you just released your new album. And so let's start with the album,
0:59.5	because I know you said you had you actually had a release party last night, so you're up early.
1:04.0	Well, it's actually later for you. It's in the afternoon. But so tell me about the new album,
1:09.2	because how many albums do you have out currently?
1:13.4	This is my fifth album.
1:15.5	Awesome.
1:16.4	Yeah. And it's called Red Flags and High Heels. And yeah, we had the album launch last night at
1:20.8	the Pete's Express and Soho. So it came out yesterday. So it's hot off the press.
1:26.6	Awesome. Yeah. And you sent me the kind of the pre-release tracks. And I love your music,
1:32.5	because for people who haven't heard you, it's first of all to a really wide variety of
1:37.2	different styles. And then the other thing is you also are the producer on the record and obviously
1:42.8	the writer. So what's your process for that when you come when you start a new album?
1:47.6	And your albums, I should say, too, have won a lot of awards and your journalism as well.
